Multimedia Room
This room is equipped with 61 Windows desktop computers, a LCD projector, a LD/DVD player, a VTR, a 120-inch screen and a color laser printer. Except a PC for lecturer, all PCs can electrically move up and down. When PC moves down till bottom, it is put away in a desk.
Computer Classroom 1, 2
Each room is equipped with 71 Windows desktop PCs. If partition is removed, these two classrooms become one classroom in which 140 students can learn.
Self-study Room A
Self-study Room A is equipped with 50 Windows desktop PCs and 3 Macintosh desktop PCs. Students can use PCs for report preparation, graduation thesis and so on. This room is opened all the time from 8:30 on Monday to 22:00 on Friday except on holiday. Another self-study room is equipped with 65 Windows desktop PCs and 3 Macintosh desktop PCs.
Information Environment for Education in Daido Institute of Technology
Daido Institute of Technology was established in 1964 as a college composed of a single department of engineering. In April 2002 the school of informatics, which is a second department, will be initiated. New Informational Education Center was completed in a new building for classes at Takiharu Campus in September 2000. At the same time computer and network system were also renewed. Several characteristics of new information environment for education are summarized as follows.
